Unversial VDIAGTOOL V200 PRO Circuit Tester Meet Your Daily Maintenance
👍 DC voltage range: 0-65V; Resistance range: 0-100 kΩ; Rated current: 1-10 amps; Frequency response of sound passage: 0Hz to 10Khz.
👍 4 working modes: DC voltage, AC voltage, Resistance and Diode Test.
👍 Identify voltage and polarity of the circuit. You can find out whether it is a positive or negative ground circuit and check how many volts is getting.
👍 You can test continuity of the wires and components, whether they are attached to or disconnected from the vehicle.
👍 Test the resistance of various sensors and issues and compare those values to the factory specifications.
👍 Activate and test components in your hands or inside the vehicle by supplying positive or negative circuits to them.
👍 20FT extension cable allows you to work on semi trucks, trailers or any other long vehicles.
👍 Built-in light enables better working in darker spaces.
Four Work Modes of VDIAGTOOL V200 PRO
✅DC voltage: While the tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the DC voltage with a resolution of 0.1 volt.
✅AC voltage: While the tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the Max. Voltage, the Min. Voltage and frequency.
✅Resistance: While the tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead.
✅Diode: In this mode, the probe tip contact the positive terminal of the diode, connect the auxiliary ground lead to the negative terminal of the diode, the screen will display the forward voltage drop, indicates the forward bias. If switch the probe tip and auxiliary ground lead, the screen will not display the voltage, indicates the reverse bias.
2 Charging Modes
This power probe circuit can be powered by the car’s battery or cigarette lighter, no extra battery or cable required.
⚠️WARM TIPS FOR INSTRUCTION
📌 Always perform automotive testing in a safe environment.
📌 Wear eye protection that meets ANSI standards.
📌 Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools, test equipment, etc away from all moving or hot enging parts.
📌 Operate the vehicle in a well ventilated work Area: Exhaust gas are poisonous.
📌 Put blocks in front of the drive wheels and never leave the vehicle unattended while running tests.
📌 Use ectreme caution when working around
the ignition coil, distributor cap, ignition wires and spark plugs. These component create Hazardous voltage when engine is running.
📌 Put the transmission in PARK (for automatic transmission) or NEUTRAL (for manual transmission) and make sure the parking brake is engaged.
📌 Keep a fire extinguisher suitable for gasoling/chemical/electrical fires nearby.
📌 Don’t connect or disconnect any test equipment while the ignition is on or the enging is running.
📌 Keep the tool dry, clean, free from oil/water or grease. Use a mild detergent on a clean cloth to clean the outside of the test tool, when necessary.
📌 When the power switch in the tool is depressed, battery current/voltage is conducted directly to the tip which may cause sparks when contactiong ground or certain circuits. Therefore the tool should NOT be used around flammables such as gasoline or its vapors. The spark of an energized tool could ignite these vapors. Use the same caution as you would when using an arc welder.
🚩 Locate The Short Circuit:
In most cases a short circuit wil appear by a blown fuse or an electrical protection device tripping (i.e., a circuit breaker). Use the probe tip to activate and energize each of the fuse contacts. The contact which trips the circuit breaker is the shorted circuit.
🚩 Check Continuity:
When this auto circuit tester is in Resistance mode, using the probe tip and the auxiliary ground lead, continuity can be tested on wires and components attached or disconnected from the vehide’s electrical system.
🚩 Activate Components:
Activate and test components in your hands or inside the vehicle by supplying positive or negative circuits to them. Such as car lights, motors, windshield wipers, radiator fans, relay, fuel injector and other on-board electric equipments.
🚩 Test Trailer Lights:
When this circuit probe kit is in DC Voltage mode, clip the auxiliary ground lead to the trailerground, probe the contacts at the jack and then apply voltage to the probe tip. This allows you check the function and orientation of the connector and trailer lights.
🚩 Find The Bad Ground:
Probe the suspected ground wire or contact with the probe tip. If the circuit breaker tripped, this circuit is more than likely a good ground.
Generate Activation Signals to the Tested Components
✔️ When this power probe tester is in DC voltage mode, contact the probe tip with the auxiliary ground lead, the components will be activated in your hand, and test their functions.
✔️ Steps to active the bulb:
1. Press the power switch forward to activate the bulb.
2. Contact the tip to the positive terminal of the bulb.
3. Connect the negative auxiliary clip. 💪 Activate Components in The Vehicle
✔️ When this electric circuit tester is in DC Voltage mode, contact the probe tip to the positive terminal of the component, the green LED should light up, indicating continuity with the ground.
✔️ If the green LED went off at that instant or if the circuit breaker tripped, the tool has been overloaded. If the circuit breaker is tripped, wait for 15 seconds to reset the circuit breaker. 💪 This could happen for the following reasons:
1. What you are detecting is a direct ground.
2. The component you are testing is short-circuited.
3. The component is a very high current component (i.e., starter motor).
Troubleshoot the Errors When Extracting DTCs From Vehicles
💡 Once the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is extracted from the vehicle and you realize that troubleshooting starts with a sensor circuit, you can perform a quick test to verify the code.
💡 Using alternating voltage mode, you can test sensors and signal circuits.
💡 Do you suspect that there is something wrong with your sensor?
1. Go to AC voltage mode and use the probe tip with auxiliary grounding lead.
2. Contact the probe tip with the positive terminal of sensor.
3. LCD reading shall be a sine wave under normal conditions.
4. If the LCD reading is abnormal, the sensor is faulty
Quick Self-test
* Quick self test to make sure it is working properly before you start using it.
* Press the power switch forward to activate the tip with a positive voltage. The red LED lights up and display the battery voltage.
* Press the power switch backwards to activate the tip with a negative voltage, the green LED should light up and the display will read 0.0V.
Built-in Light
* This could be a very useful feature when working in darker spaces such a fuse box under the steering wheel, for example, without having to use a flashlight.
